Tucker Else With the Livietta (Pasquini), is 20 shots per day going to stretch it (very small shop in very small town with not a lot of coffee snobbery-yet)? Should I be looking at a prosumer or commercial model instead?

Tucker Else Thanks, Todd. I will give y'all a call and see what we can come up with. Would dig the Livia or expobar office...just not sure we can afford it yet. Thanks much!

Todd Salzman I am not so worried about the amount of shots you will want to brew but once you get going I am sure you will want to froth milk for Latte's or Cappuccino's. You will need a prosumer at the minium. Look at the Expobar Office Control since it has programmable cup size and will steam very well. I would highly suggest that you call and talk with a sales person to assist. There are always other consideration such as water lines, local codes, drain lines etc.

Tho Nguyen Where's your shop going to be? I sounds like a great idea!

Tucker Else I am opening a non-profit coffee shop in a very small town. We will be selling (with all proceeds going towards local, regional, and global missions) just coffee. Because this is a small town, and because we are going to be open for limited hours, I am looking for an espresso machine that will be used by non-pro baristas, will be able to pump out less than 50 shots a day, and won't break the bank (looking for under $1k). Any suggestions? Thanks!

Mark Jackson It will be tough to find the right machine that will hold up and still enable you to go a little faster and a few more then home use. I would look at the Expobar line as your best bet and they are good machines for your use. I would also look at Rancilio Rocky grinder

Luda- Kris It's what we're here for! And hearing that I'm wise doesn't hurt either ;-)

Tucker Else Ha! Alright, I'll man up:) Thanks again for your wise counsel.

Luda- Kris No reason to be intimidated! If we can teach new staff members to get it right, then we can help you get it right too! And once you've got it down, you can be big man on campus and teach others.
