Hi! I own the Espresso Color. I have owned it for two years. It is starting to act like it is working a little harder to heat up and brew. The light turns off at least twice during a double shot. Sometimes the light also goes off during the steaming process. I have descaled it twice. I have never replaced the head gasket. I do notice leaking sometimes from around the group head during extraction. What does all of this mean?

techkathy You may have some scale build up in the boiler around the heating element. Scale acts as an insulator and can cause inefficient heating. Leaking around portafilter can definitely be caused by a worn gasket. Call tech support to order a new gasket. We can also email you some cleaning instructions and videos.
