The water, indeed comes out hotter in fact I believe it is turning to steam thus the sputtering. I canot get water to come out longer than a few seconds in fact the longer I run it the less water I get. In order to get water or make an americano I have to intermittingly tunr the knob off and then back on. I am not sure if this is my machine or characteristic of the Titanium.

A A Make sure that you hit the "Hot Water" button on the front of the machine, and that the screen is showing "Hot Water" before turning the knob. Hopefully it's something so simple!

Today I made my first attmept at making an Americano, initially the water came out warm not hot, normal? My machine is set to the second highest setting. Secondly the water would flow for a few seconds and then sort of sputter. Again normal or fixable?

A A The water in the machine at first might come out warm, as there is still water in the system after the boiler. That's partially why the machine sputters at first. After a few seconds, the water will start streaming out. Give it a try, and let us know!

Gaggia Titanium Super-Automatic Espresso Machine
Gaggia Titanium Super-Automatic Espresso Machine

I just got my machine, I have made a few coffees (still dialing it in), thus far no problem, but after it grinds during the brewing and tamping it makes what I consider loud clicking sounds. This is my first Super auto, I used a semi-auto before, so maybe this is normal. But since I paid alot I wanted to catch any problems early. So is this normal?

A A That clicking you here during the brewing cycle is completely normal for the Titanium. What it is is the trap door opening to drop the grounds into the brew group. I wondered what it was when I first used this machine as well! Nothing to worry about, though.
