Had for about a year now and is used at least twice a day. After dialing it in, makes fine espresso. Making latte is a breeze and is much better than shoppes like Starbucks or others since you make it to YOUR own tastes. Also, the money saved per cup pays for the Titanium in no time!!

I forgot to push the Pre-ground Button on the Gaggia Titanium while using the bypass doser. I then pushed the large coffe button and the grinder was being used as well. No coffee came out. I'm sure I clogged the machine or something. I turned it off and rinsed out the brewer group. Is it safe to try again or should I do some thing else before I try to make another cup?
When cleaning the Gaggia Titanium brew group, do rinse the entire unit out with warm water? How often?
Is it required to use distilled water or can filtered or tap water be used?
WholeLatteLoveRep1 Excellent questions Henry. It is actually better for both the machines operation and the quality of your brew if you use regular tap water. The machine uses small sensors that read the electrolytes in the water to be sure that the water circuit is primed. In terms of brew, you will get a much better emulsification if tap water is used. Because tap water contains minerals, it reacts much better with the coffee grounds. This will give you more flavor and aroma to your brew. However, when using tap water it is very important that you are reqularly descaling your machine to keep the minerals and calcium deposits from solidifying inside the machine. This is a simple process and the descales solutions can be purchased through the site. The product that you'll want to look for is called Cleancaf.
