Gaggia Baby Twin
Hi,
I've had a Gaggia Espresso Pure and a Capresso Infinity grinder for the last year and a half that I am very happy with. Basically I use it just for brewing shots, I don't use the wand, I have no problem with it's capacity or time to warm up. Purely from a shot standpoint, is this going to give me a better shot? Right now I feel my Gaggia produces a shot better that all but one local cafe (I use the same bean, I just don't have the $3K grinder and $12K La Marzocco). The only reason I'd want to give up the Pure is to bequeath it to a poor college student and get a better looking machine.
Thanks!

mjackson ♦ Greg,
You will get a better shot out of the twin. The design of the double boiler gives this machine a better temperature profile when brewing the shot. It produces more of a flat line through the brewing process at the correct temperature. You must have a great grinder or get your coffee ground correctly to get such great results. You are also correct about the Gaggia and its ability to produce a great shot. It can do this and we love to hear about this so thanks. Let us know what you think about the Twin.
