Is the rechargeable battery replaceable as well? If not, how long is its life. If so, how does one open the frother to replace it?

According to the reviews people really like this product. Here is more information on the batteries. It has 2 PERMANENTLY MOUNTED (non user replaceable) nickel cadmium 1.2 volt 600 ma AA batteries inside of it. So you can not replace them. It does seem to last a long time and also is fun to use.

It has 2 nickel cadmium 1.2 volt 600 ma AA batteries inside of it that are permanant and can not be replaced. It does seem to last a long time and also is fun to use. I think according to reviews I read it should hold a charge for a long time.

How long does the charge last? If I was to take it traveling to mix powder shakes that I drink would it last or does it need to be in its charging cradle when not in use? or would you recommend something else?
