I researched a burr grinder, not satisfied with a blade grinder because of uneven grinding and the risk for burning the beans from the heat of the blades. I didn't want to spend a small fortune on a machine but I also didn't want a piece of garbage that would give me trouble. I liked Breville's...

I bought this2 years ago, completely rookie hime barista. The only con for me is I tend to make a lot of mess with grinds. Great coffee espresso. As a novice, the dual walled filters make this tool very easy to use.
The run times are a bit short, like ristretto pulls. I believe this is...

I was considering going with the Alex Duetto III, but concerns about having to move a 75lb machine from underneath my cabinet to be able to refill the water tank gave me pause. I started reading about the Breville Dual Boiler and am very intrigued. Looking to be able to pull a great shot of Espresso as if I were working at Intelligentsia or similar. What are your thoughts on the Breville?

I’m new to owning an espresso machine. I lived in Italy for two years and missed the quality of the espresso and cappuccino when we moved back to the US. This machine makes a great product, I am still trying to fine tune the process. I went through two pounds of beans the first week (I don’t think...

For lactose intolerant, this unit quickly makes beautiful hot or cold froth, foam, and crema from Unsweetened Silk Soy Milk; however, I got zilch results using Almond Milk. Handy cap/opening is great for adding Almond extract (for cold or hot milk), and adding cinnamon, garam masala, nutmeg,...

I purchased a Breville BES830XL in Dec 2011 and used it for a year when the machine became clogged during a decalcifying procedure. When I sought advice from Breville for a fix they offered to replace my machine with a new 840XL. I can't be more delighted. I've been using it almost each morning...

When I do a compare on the Breville 600 and the 550 the 550 gets all 5's for ratings while the 600 gets ------ Dashes whats up with that?
If you are looking for a semi automatic with lots of features and don't want to spend 1500 or more this is one for you. Right off the bat you can see that this machine looks great, lots of stainless and minimal plastic. I espresso shots out of this machine are also really good and got better...

I have read a lot about how noisy the grinder on this unit is. Really, how loud is a grinder? Is it what you normally would expect where is it like a chainsaw? Thanks!
mjackson ♦ I think it has an amazing price for the features it has. It has not been out a long time so we don't really have an idea on the long term durability yet. I would suggest getting a very good espresso grinder like the Baratza Vario. It certainly will give you all the tools you need to pull a consistently good shot.I think if you read all the reviews available you will see people are very happy with the machine.
