I have this grinder but even at the finest setting it doesn't grind fine enough for my Pasquini Livia 90. My shots come out too fast and I have little crema. I had a Gaggia MD that died and it used to give me a finer grind. Any advice other than getting another grinder?

TechMilanoItalia Scott, unfortunately, you have discovered the limits of that grinder. We would not recommend that grinder for commercial-style portafilter machines like your Pasquini. You may want to go with another MDF (they are on sale right now!) or a Rancilio Rocky. You may be better off in the long run with something like a Mazzer Mini. The grinder is a very important part of the equation, and you will get a lot better results with a commercial-grade flat-burr grinder.
I have read both positive and negative reviews on the Breville BCG450XL. I am looking for a grinder that will grind beans consistently for a french press and an expresso machine. How does this product rate? Thanks for your help.

TechMilanoItalia Claudette, we would recommend this grinder for espresso machines that use a pressurized portafilter. If you are using a machine with a commercial-style portafilter (i.e. Gaggia, Rancilio, etc.) you would want something in a flat burr grinder like the Gaggia MDF or Rancilio Rocky. It will do fine for the french press.
TechMilanoItalia This would fit the bill! =)
