Description

Essential Info: Trying to keep fresh brewed coffee tasting fresh brewed has inspired manufacturers to develop machines with insulated carafes. Cuisinart’s 12-Cup Thermal is a drip machine that brews directly into a brushed stainless steel carafe with a specially designed lid. The carafe features a “hands-free” lid to seal in heat and flavor. For more convenience and control, the coffee maker provides the increasingly common 30 second Brew Pause feature to let you pour a cup in

We have owned the Cuisinart 12 cup thermal for 7 years now. We love it. Coffee will stay Hot , not warm, but Hot for about 12 hours. Makes a great cup of coffee every time. the only thing is, it is hard to get down into the thermal pot to clean. we are looking at getting the same one again.

mjackson ♦ Larry,

I don't have exact temperatures to give you. I did do some research and on the reviews people say it does brew hot. That seems to be one of the many things people like about the brewer. It also seems to keep coffee hot in the Carafe for up to 4 hours. I would also recommend pre-heating the carafe before you brew the first pot of the day. That will make sure you dont loose a lot of temperature when you make you first pot of coffee for the day.I hope this helps.

I have a white version of the DTC 975N and the labels for the buttons have gone away.
The PDF manual from Cuisinart for this coffee maker does not show what the 6 buttons are.
I know the left top is start. I'm need to know what the buttons are to set the time, program the hour, minute, set the start timer and ?
Thank you.

Can you use a permanent gold filter with this pot?

TechMilanoItalia We would recommend contacting the manufacturer to avoid possibly voiding any warranties on the machine. The number for Cuisinart is: 800.726.0190

I was really wondering if this coffee pot looks like the one in the picture? With the black plastic on the bottom of the pot. The newer style seems to be all stainless steel, instead of black with brushed in the middle. This seems to be the older model, BUT that is what I am looking for. My old coffee maker like this one finally died after 7years use but I don't care for the new style.

TechMilanoItalia The version that we are currently selling is only black at the top, the rest (including the bottom) is all brushed stainless. Sorry for the confusion, we should have an updated picture of the product up soon.

How do I clean the inside of the carafe? What kind of detergent do I or can I use?

Whole Latte Love Staff Washing the carafe in warm, soapy water is the easiest way to keep it clean. However, if you there are some stains you’re having trouble removing with just soap and water, I would recommend using Urnex Cleancaf. Just add 1 tablespoon of Cleancaf to a full carafe of hot water and let it sit for 10 minutes - it will be sparkly clean when you’re done. You can purchase and find more information on Urnex Cleancaf by following the link below.

Does the Cuisinart 12 Cup Programmable Thermal Coffee Maker allow for a reusable gold filter? Your specs indicate that it only takes paper filters; yet one reviewer mentioned a Swiss Gold KF-4 filter. If it does take a gold filter, where can I buy one?

Whole Latte Love Staff Although the Cuisinart Programmable Therm only comes with paper filters, you can purchase a gold tone filter for it. This filter can be purchased directly through Cuisinart by either following the link below to their website or by calling them at 800-726-0190.

How long does the thermal coffee maker keep the coffee hot?

0

Vote

0

Whole Latte Love Staff A thermal carafe will keep the coffee hot for about 3 hours and there are a couple things you can do to maximize the heat retention for that time. The first is preheating the carafe by running it under hot water before brewing. A cold carafe will absorb the heat from the coffee, so rinsing it with hot water ahead of time will help you avoid that. In addition, it helps not to put the carafe back in the brewing position when brewing is done. This is because when the carafe is in place, a valve in the lid is pressed down to allow coffee into the carafe. If you put it back in this spot after brewing, the valve will be pressed and allow all the heat to escape from the inside of the pot. If you take these few suggestions to heart, you should be enjoying your piping hot coffee for hours after brewing.
