is this machine like the tassimo and keurig machines where one places some kind of p remeasured ready to use mix into the machine, adds water and then gets a nicely brewed cup of coffee? Thank you in advance Kim Flick

Yes it does work that way and is easy to use. It works on a pre-measured basis and then brews what ever you put in it in a capsule form.
Hours of Operation
Monday - Thursday: 9am-8pm
Friday: 9am-6pm
Saturday: 10am-3pm
Sunday: 12pm - 5pm

It does brew a regular coffee. It just depends on what capsule you chose these would work. http://www.wholelattelove.com/DeLonghi/dolce-gusto-caffe-americano.cfm or this one http://www.wholelattelove.com/DeLonghi/dolce-gusto-dark-roast.cfm. It can only use the capsules and will not brew anything else.
