This tamper is a great training tool. We had one here when I first started (it's since disappeared and it's rather upsetting) and it was very helpful while Maryann and I learned how to use all the machines on our own.
I purchased this shortly after I received my Gaggia New Baby. It is really a great way to be sure you use consistent pressure each time- always pull a great shot. Easy to use, sits well in your hand.
