My Gaggia Brera brews great coffee, but in the past month or two, about 20% o the time after the grinding cycle, the out of beans indicator light turns on and she dumps the unbrewed coffee grounds into the dispenser. I wash the brew group once per week, which includes cleaning the area above the brew group with a dry toothbrush. If I look down the bypass doser hole during grinding, I can't see any obstructions or issues that would cause the machine to dump the unbrewed coffee grounds. Any thoughts?
Love my new Gaggia Brera. It's not clear from the diagram in the manual where to lubricate the brewing group
Has anyone had issues with priming the unit? It seems like the brew group is barely priming, but the steam wand has plenty of water coming through. It usually goes through one priming error before going to Ready State. One additional note, I am cleaning the brew group on a weekly basis and applying food-safe grease, per recommendations :-) I really like this machine and would like to enjoy it more!
I have been contemplating a superautomatic for a couple of years now and (think) have narrowed my choices to the Gaggia Brera and Gaggia Platinum Vogue. I was actually going to pull the trigger and buy the Brera last week when you had it as the Wow of the week, but I was about 2 hour too late.
This would be for home use - only brewing 3-4 shots or drinks per day on average. Any thoughts about what makes one of these better than the other? Any advice is appreciated. I am still leaning towards the Brera...
I've been looking at the Gaggia Brera and the Gaggia Platinum Vision. Flipping back and forth between the Specs, I'm trying to find the primary differences between the machines. Other than the milk island, water capacity, and temperature controls, what are the major differences between the two?
My Gaggia Synchrony Logic is beginning to leak and in the past, repirs have not always been fast or complete. With the Brera how long is the heat up time...pushing the on button to starting the grind/brew process? In what ways is this a better machine than the synchrony logic?

After getting my Brera my morning routine of getting a latte for my wife and I while getting kids ready for school I have reclaimed at least 10 minutes and made it much more relaxing! Needless to say, I love this machine. Was using a Gaggia Carezza before....

i currently have the Gaggia Platinum Vogue. What is the comparison between the two?
I'm having trouble getting the brew group back into my new Gaggia Brera...what am I doing wrong? It seems to stop just shy of being pushed all the way in. Please help because I can't drink coffee if this doesn't work and I'll just die.
techkathy Is the coffee you are using a dark roast or oily? Oily coffees tend to stick together and not fall into the grinding burrs. The machine will then act like it is out of coffee.
