Handpresso DomePod Handheld Espresso Machine
I love my lattes and bought Miss Sylvia and Rocky from your fine web store a while back. I will be going car camping this summer and am trying to decide which way to go. I must have my 3 daily lattes now. I have never used pods because I am fortunate enough to have a fantastic roaster right in this tiny town I live in. If I get the Handpresso DomePod is there a decent manual grinder that doesn't cost an arm and a leg or are the pods pretty good? They sure would be simpler. I know I will have to give up some flavor simply because I will have to resort to the milk in those aseptic boxes for one thing - no refrigeration for good milk.
Are there any other options for camping? I have a French press but 100% prefer espresso. What about the Italian stove top ones like Bialetti? I would really appreciate some help here. Not sure which way to go since I won't be camping all that much.

Great question and thanks. I really like the Handpresso and it will certainly meet your needs. You may want to pair it with the Hario hand grinder see here - http://www.wholelattelove.com/hario/hario-skerton-ceramic-mill.cfm. This will work nicely. The pods do work well adn you are right they will be simpler. I do think you may lke grinding fresh. it seems you like the local espresso you can get. The milk will be interesting to foam. The stove tops will certainly work but you may not be that thrilled with the process or the results. Another product to look at would be the Aeropress, as it is portable and can brew an espresso or coffee depending on the grind. You may also want to look at a device like this to froth your milk - http://www.wholelattelove.com/hario/hario-skerton-ceramic-mill.cfm. I hope this helps and have fun camping
