I recently purchased a Gaggia Baby Class machine. Are these the ese pods to be used with that machine?

The Illy iperEspresso capsules offer an easier way to enjoy your espresso. Each individually wrapped capsule contains approximately 7 grams of perfectly roasted and expertly ground and tamped 100% Arabica Illy coffee. Illy’s medium roast offers a sweet and mellow flavor. There is no grinding, no tamping, and no mess. Really. It’s that simple! Also available in dark roast and decaffeinated. Each can contains 21 capsules.

whats the difference between these capsules above and the Illy iperEspresso Lungo? I tried looking at the description of both and have ordered both, but cannot figure out the distinct difference..

The lungo is a little more coarsely ground. It is meant to brew a cup of coffee as opposed to an espresso. I think that is where you will be able to tell the difference. The lungo is Illys answer to an americano basically. The other capsules are ground for an espresso. I hope this helps and thanks for asking.

Each capsule contains 7 grams of coffee. You would want to brew about 1-1.5 ounces of coffee per capsule. This is the size that will give you the best taste for your espresso. It should taste great and is a simple system to use. Let us know if we can be of any help.

Erin Buoen Mark, I bought this machine because I love how easy it is to use but haven't been able to get the quality of espresso that I'm used to and I love Illy espresso. But, I make iced coffee by putting 2 shots in a cup, adding milk and ice. The shots just aren't strong enough and I am having to use 4 capsules to even make it close to what I'm used to. I am thinking maybe this machine is good for only hot cappuccino's. If I need to return it, what is the process? So sad it's not working out!

TechMilanoItalia As long as the machine is iperEspresso compatible, these capsules would work. You may want to check with the manufacturer of the machine to verify if it is compatible.

these capsules look to be the same size as the Nepresso
ones --will these fit into a Nepresso machine?

ToddS Nissim, there are two X-7 machines. One works with both ESE sized pods and ground coffee while the other uses the Illy iperEspresso exclusively. If your X-7 uses ground coffee or pods it will not work with these capsules. If you have the capsule version, these are prefect.

These pods will only work with machines like the Gaggia for Illy and the Francis Francis machines. The pods that you would need for a Gaggia Classic are the E.S.E pods.
