Isomac Granmacinino Grinder
Isomac Granmacinino Grinder

This thing is solid. Literally. Heavy too. Entirely metal except for the hopper and grind adjustment lever (which is metal on the current machines). Motor is powerful, could be quieter but I'm not complaining -- I'd rather have it work and be a bit noisy. Grind is very consistant and works...

Isomac Granmacinino Grinder
Isomac Granmacinino Grinder

This is a good solid grinder. It's stable and good-looking, all steel case. Grind quality is very good, more than fine enough for excellent espresso. Don't know how it works on coarser grinds. It's hefty and stable and has no static-cling problems whatsoever.

Isomac Zaffiro Espresso Machine
Isomac Zaffiro Espresso Machine

Espresso machines are like cars, the Zaffiro is a Porsche. There may be better cars, however, they require too much maintenance and too finicky (and probably little better than the Zaffiro "Porsche"). Lesser machines may be easier to operate, however, no performance. However you require your...

Isomac Venus Espresso Machine
Isomac Venus Espresso Machine

This is my first espresso machine and I just love it. It doesn take some practice and I still don't feel that I have it quite right, but every now and then I hit the perfect espresso and it is just fantastic. This machine is perfect for my addiction.

Isomac Tea Espresso Machine
Isomac Tea Espresso Machine

This was my first long term use of a serious espresso machine with professional quality brew head and portafilter combination. The machine has been in daily use for four years with no mechanical problems. I've been using distilled water so have not even decalked the thing.
I started out with an...

Gaggia Sync Compact

Today while I was making a coffee in my wonderful Gaggia super-automatic, a nasty "squealing" noise occurred, which I had never heard before. I turned the machine off, pulled out the brew group, cleaned it and everything else I could see. The noise did more or less go away, though there was still a bit of a remnant. I have performed descaling once, when I was instructed to do so, and I try to clean the brew group every so often.

Whole Latte Love Staff This is an issue of lubrication.  The brew unit needs to be lubricated with food edible grease.  This will solve the problem of the squealing brew unit.  You can purchase this product by calling us at 1-888-411-5282 and asking for a tube of Petro Gel grease.

Saeco Magic de Luxe

I have had a Magic Deluxe for 4 years. It has been troublefree, although the no-bean indicator never worked....
Now, after descaling, I find that the expressed coffee is wet and it seems to take longer for a cup to make. What could be the problem?

Cleaning the brew unit will most likely cure this problem.  Simply remove the filter screen and the spout that is located on the top of the brew unit.  Be cautious when removing the spout off of the top because there is a spring and checkball that we need to be certain that we do not lose.  Clean the entire brew unit thoroughly and try running a few more shots through the machine to see if this solves the problem.  If not please give us a call at 1-888-411-5282.

My Gaggia semi-automatic espresso machine has a very "violent" start. The first second of the brew process produces a strong vibration and noise - then it eases off and brews as expected. Is this normal?

Whole Latte Love Staff This is normal.  The vibration pump in and of itself is a noisy component.  What is happening is that the pump is dry when we first engage it.  Then once water is fed into the pump, it quiets down.  This noise is typical with this style pump and shouldn’t be cause for concern.

Isomac Millennium

What is the recovery time for the Isomac Millennium. How long does it take to reach brewing tempature. Is this a single or double boiler unit?

Whole Latte Love Staff The Isomac Millennium is a heat exchanger style machine. After you turn on the main power switch it will take about ten minutes to heat up. Once it is heated you can brew and steam whenever you want. You don’t have a recovery time like you would on a home machine and we categorized this as a Prosumer machine. Please read our article named "Prosumer Espresso Equipment" to get the complete explanation. And of course please free to call us.
