This thing is solid. Literally. Heavy too. Entirely metal except for the hopper and grind adjustment lever (which is metal on the current machines). Motor is powerful, could be quieter but I'm not complaining -- I'd rather have it work and be a bit noisy. Grind is very consistant and works...

This is a good solid grinder. It's stable and good-looking, all steel case. Grind quality is very good, more than fine enough for excellent espresso. Don't know how it works on coarser grinds. It's hefty and stable and has no static-cling problems whatsoever.

Today while I was making a coffee in my wonderful Gaggia super-automatic, a nasty "squealing" noise occurred, which I had never heard before. I turned the machine off, pulled out the brew group, cleaned it and everything else I could see. The noise did more or less go away, though there was still a bit of a remnant. I have performed descaling once, when I was instructed to do so, and I try to clean the brew group every so often.
I have had a Magic Deluxe for 4 years. It has been troublefree, although the no-bean indicator never worked....

My Gaggia semi-automatic espresso machine has a very "violent" start. The first second of the brew process produces a strong vibration and noise - then it eases off and brews as expected. Is this normal?

What is the recovery time for the Isomac Millennium. How long does it take to reach brewing tempature. Is this a single or double boiler unit?
Whole Latte Love Staff This is an issue of lubrication. The brew unit needs to be lubricated with food edible grease. This will solve the problem of the squealing brew unit. You can purchase this product by calling us at 1-888-411-5282 and asking for a tube of Petro Gel grease.
