My Gaggia Syncrony digital has not been used for quite a while. When I turned it on with no water or coffee the display lighted and there were a line of black squares but no words and none of the buttons did anything. Is this the normal reaction with no water or coffee? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Peter
I have this espresso machine and love it. However, it needs some maintenance after using it for seven or so years. Is there a refurbishing facility that could return the machine to its former glory? Also, is there a version of the machine that is not plastic?? That would solve some of the issues.
Thanks for being all things coffee.

I bought this unit with expectations that with its price and Italian origin it would last nearly a lifetime. It was nice while it lasted but unfortunately a rock got caught in the works. The interior parts are made of plastic, and replacement parts are no longer available. I am now the proud...

bought my first Pavoni from the factory in Milan in 1973 for $100. and used it daily. It was retired to the basement when It needed gaskets that were not available. Then I bought another one from someone who didn't know how to use it for $125. I bought a Creamina 65 for about $650 and still use it...

I am shopping for a home machine. Is the Pavoni Lusso the best for the price? Is the Gaggia?
Thanks

I am looking for the best machine that can make espresso and then steam milk for cappucino immediately. I would like to spend $700-800. Which one is recommended?

Bought my predecessor to the EPC8 in 1976 for $75. Started to throw it out about 15 years ago but saw that what a new one cost. Changed the gaskets and it worked like new. Has a steep learning curve, tempermental about grind and tamp, but when you get it right, it is wonderful.

I have a capresso 1300 that allows me to set the number of ounces of coffee I want it to produce. Does this machine have the same capability?
Michael Rosso ♦ Lever Espresso machines are such fun to use. They can transport you back in time to a much less busier time in our lives, when brewing espresso was truly an art, pleasure and not a business.
