Hi - What are your thoughts on this machine? Any alternative to the pricy prioprietary coffee pods that appear to be required? I would think this is a big detriment to the appeal of this machine... or is the $60/ per 100 actually not a bad deal when it's all said and done? thanks.

MikeR It's actually not that bad when compared to other proprietary single shot systems, about middle of the road. The Pointe is slightly better for cost, but if per shot cost is a driving factor, consider a semi-auto with pods. You have almost as many drink choices(more when you consider all the different companies that produce ESE pods), and you can get some pods under 40 cents each. I think the LaVazza pods net out about 35 cents each.
