Description

This is the same portafilter handle that Rancilio uses in the commercial line. Miss Silvia was bred to handle this handle by virtue of her true-to-form commercial-sized group. This is a beefier version of the home line for the highest possible temperature stability.

A A Oren,
The portafilter that you tagged will be the one pictured. All of the Rancilio portafilters will fit any of their machines, and they all have the logo at the end of the handle.

I need a double portafilter for my FranciscFrancis X1 espresso machine. The original boiler was replaced with a brass or copper boiler. I don't recall which it is.

Will the Rancillo Commercial Portafilter fir my X1?

Thanks.

The Rancilio will not fit your machine. I would get a Francis portafilter. You can call Empire fulfillment as they offer parts at 1-877-855-4540

The pictures of the single spout and double spout are exactly the same and both show what I think of as two spouts. What is the difference?

mjackson ♦ The pictures are the same, they should be different with the double having two spouts and the single having one. Sorry for any confusion and I will see about getting the pictures straightened and thanks for noticing.

I recently purchased on of these. The basket that i use to use with the original portafilter is now very difficult to get out of the new commercial one. Do i need a different basket?

mjackson ♦ Christian,

It should not be a concern. It should loosen up over time. You do want it to fit well and it certainly seems like it does.

There is a wire clip inside the handle and you may want to make sure that is in the handle correctly. Is the original basket you used a Rancilio

Let me know and thanks

I have the Silvia with the standard portafilter. Lately I prefer 3 shots in my latte, so I have to "waste" one shot every time I make a drink. I'm assuming the single shot portafilter would be what I need? Thanks!

ToddS You might want to use a triple shot basket in the bottomless Rancilio portafilter. It would be a lot quicker than brewing the multiple shots since you can brew three shots at once. Give us a call and the sales person can help you find the Rancilio bottomless portafilter and the Expobar triple shot filter basket, it is a very good combination.

I would like to use two portafilters one with the ese adaptor and the other a regular (does the Rancillo v3 also come with a double shot). Would I have to buy a second portafilter to not have to change out each time I wanted to use a pod? Would you recommend the upgraded Rancillo portafilter or would the standard be ok? Also, I am looking for the best price on the Rancillo Silvia v3. I would be purchasing the accessories also. Thanks

TechMilanoItalia For that machine, you would require a separate pod adapter kit which converts it for use with pods. It is not that easy to switch back-and-forth, but it can be done. You may wish to call and speak with our Sales Team for a package price on all the parts and accessories plus the machine.
