I purchased the optional three hole steam tip, but can't find instructions on installation.
I would presume I just need to unscrew the current tip with wrench, but I do not want to damage my new machine.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Do you sell the modified frothing tip for the Ranilio Silvia separately?
Today while I was making a coffee in my wonderful Gaggia super-automatic, a nasty "squealing" noise occurred, which I had never heard before. I turned the machine off, pulled out the brew group, cleaned it and everything else I could see. The noise did more or less go away, though there was still a bit of a remnant. I have performed descaling once, when I was instructed to do so, and I try to clean the brew group every so often.
I have had a Magic Deluxe for 4 years. It has been troublefree, although the no-bean indicator never worked....
Now, after descaling, I find that the expressed coffee is wet and it seems to take longer for a cup to make. What could be the problem?
My Gaggia semi-automatic espresso machine has a very "violent" start. The first second of the brew process produces a strong vibration and noise - then it eases off and brews as expected. Is this normal?
My Jura Espresso machine says to replace the filter. My husband thinks that the filter is called Claris. However I cannot find it in the parts section. Can you please tell me how to get this water filter?
It seems to me to be a quicker process to cool the boiler than to heat it up with my Sylvia.....I've been frothing milk first...cooling the boiler by priming it with the hot water switch while I'm pounding/swirling my frothed milk. Then the boiler light comes back on and I load, tamp and lock my shot. Pull that rascal and pour in the milk. Seems to keep the shot as fresh as possible and lets the milk develop the sheen and bubbles in solution that I'm after (although not getting every time....I'm a newbie). Is this backwards? Most of the time, I just drink espresso...but my wife really likes a latté in the morning.....this seems to get it going the quickest and freshest.
My Silvia seems to be getting too hot when I make more than 2 espresso shots back to back. I've read a few posts about the machine "super-heating" when brewing right after frothing, but I'm only brewing. It seems like steam mixed with water comes through the group when doing more than 2 shots sometimes. Is this normal? Do I have to go through the cool-down procedure if I'm making more than 2 shots back to back?
Hi I just got a new Silvia after abusing a Krups Pump for 5 years. I got 2 questions. 1. The correct grind level for this machine. I only got 2 cups with crema out of 15 cups so far. 2. your frothing tips. Sylvia is totally different from Krups. Thanks a lot.
Whole Latte Love Staff Here are some easy step-by-step instructions for how to remove your old steam tip and replace it with the Rancilio 3 Hole Steam Tip with Adaptor. These instructions are for the Rancilio Silvia only:
1. Wrap your existing steam tip and upper steam wand with tape, this will add leverage and help prevent slipping and scratches.
2. Using a pair of pliers, slowly and carefully loosen the existing tip counterclockwise.
3. Once the tip is loosened, remove it with your fingers.
4. While holding the existing steam arm, slowly and gently finger tighten the new tip by screwing it onto the steam arm clockwise.
5. Remove all of the tape from the steam arm and steam tips.
Your new steam tip should now be ready to use.
