Hi I wanted to know if anyone else has had trouble with the milk carafe and the small tube? Have inserted this in the carafe but the milk spits out everywhere when you dispense. Want to use as the milk comes out hotter. Any ideas?

Awesome machine, one-touch simplicity. Great espresso and Cappuccino's, but I must admit, it seems I have to empty it or refill every couple of drinks, either it be the coffee grounds tray or the water. The milk and hot water from the wand isn't as hot as I would prefer, but there is a different...

Just traded up from our royal professional to the Exprelia
Wow! The one touch option for specialty drinks is truly amazing. Only draw back is that the water resevoir is only 52oz.
Still, the features and great crema are worth the minor hassle
Our last machine made over 15000 cups in the past 9 years. Let's hope our new machine goes that distance!

I just read your comparison. I'd like to confirm because I was ready to get the exprelia and then read below that it does not make Lattes. Is that correct?

Yo uare corrrect the Exprelia does not make Lattes using the One Touch features, however you can still froth milk and make Lattes manually. I myself have been using the froth milk button, then brew a shot of espresso into the frothed milk, and that is close enough for me when you consider how easy it is to do that..Thanks.
Can you steam milk separately to increase temp if necessary? What are people saying about this machine?

It is true you can steam the milk separately. Many people like the way it steams as well as the control. Feed back has been very good on this machine as at this price we have sold quite a few. It does brew a very nice shot due to the ceramic burrs.

We've been using a La Pavoni Pro machine for 15 years but we are thinking about trying a new machine. Our goal is to get better espresso (crema) and have the auto froth attachment like the La Pavoni has. Does the Saeco Exprelia produce much better, and consistent crema? or no.

It is a good question. The Saeco machine will give you good Crema. You should be able to get a better product with a manual machine and a good grinder. The Saeco does have ceramic burrs and makes a surprisingly good espresso. It is really purchased for convenience. If you want to push a button and get a pretty good espresso it works very well. The milk steamer will be easy to use but you don't have a lot of control if you want to make the milk hotter. It really is made to make your espresso making much easier and it is consistent. What water filter comes with the Saeco Exprelia Super Automatic machine? Is this the only filter I can use in the water tank?

I just ordered my Exprelia and should have it later this week - can't wait. I have been using a Vienna Plus for over 10 years so this is a big jump. I was trying to decide between the Accademia or Xelsis, but after speaking to Shane, he turned me on to the Exprelia - same capabilties as the other models with the exception of the user profiles and cup warmer. This is a personal machine so I do not need these added features. The Exprelia has a smaller footprint and a reduced price point!!!
