I want to purchase a good machine for my wife for residental use that will make both expresso and regular coffee. This machine states it will do both. Do you recommend this machine or should I consider others? What do you recommend?

TechMilanoItalia A cafe crema is a long coffee, basically putting more water through the grounds. You can use the large coffee button to set a higher water quantity if you want to brew that type of coffee.

TechMilanoItalia Eric, this machine is only available in Silver. The non-digital version is available in both Anthracite (black) and Silver. If you are interested in any of these machines, we would strongly recommend placing it on pre-order so you can lock in the price and guarantee that you get one when the machines arrive.
Hello Sir or Madam:
I have a Solis Master 5000 Digital that I puchased several years back from you. I do not frequently use this machine. Recently I am having issues with it.
1. It no longer makes espressos; it only makes "full" coffees.
2. When I attempt to use the steamer, it warms up, and I turn the steam knob open, but no steam comes out. The LCD says to close knob, and then it just indicates "VENTILATE".
I downloaded the manual from Solis International, but it does not mention the word VENTILATE on the LCD.
What is wrong with my machine?
Is there a service center in Los Gatos, CA that I can take it to for repairs or service?
Of course it is a few years old, but I really like this machine, please help me.

ToddS Joel, the first problem you mentioned was that it only makes a full cup of coffee, not the espresso. You can probably re program the small cup coffee button to brew any amount that you want. Push and hold it through the whole grinding and brewing process, when you get the amount of coffee that you want release the button and it will remember that quantity for the next time. In regards to the "Ventilate" message. The steam tip is probably just plugged up with milk. Clean it out and you should be find. Make sure you clean both the tip on the plastic wand and the steel wand under it. If you this does not take care of the problem let us know and we will help you get it repaired.

Thank you for your quick response. I removed the plastic wand, but it was not clogged / blocked with milk, etc. The steel wand did not appear to be clogged either. I tried to use the steamer, but the result was the same -- VENTILATE. What do you suggest? thanks.
I received my Solis Master Digital this weekend and have made about 10 cups of coffee. After about the 5th cup, coffee began to flow out of the top of the spout as well as the 2 outlets that are over the cup. does this persent a problem?

Whole Latte Love Staff The two spouts must have shifted and just have to be realigned. Open the door and you will see a tube that brings the espresso from the brew group to the spouts. Make sure that this tube is properly aligned with the top of the spouts and everything will be fine.
Im torn between the Solis master 5000 digital and the Saeco Vienna Digital.
Any suggestions. I drink more espresso than anything else

Whole Latte Love Staff They both brew about the same quality espresso so you may as well get the Saeco Vienna Digital because it is about the same price and has the rapid steam features. If the rapid steam feature is not that important then look at the Gaggia Syncrony Compact. It brews as good a shot of espresso as the other two and it has a bypass doser for pre ground. That way if you have some guest coming over you can put in some pre ground decaffeinated and still use the regular beans that are in the hopper for other guest.
