Housewares by Sowden is the creation of George J. Sowden, the Leeds-born industrial designer, who has been working in Milan Italy since 1971 where he started his design career with Olivetti and eventually founded his own studio. In 1981 he was a founding member of Memphis, a group of designers, artists and architects whose work defined the post-modern movement.
