I use enough coffee for 9 cups, and use water for 3. Works great on a propane stove. Takes about 5 mins to heat the water before opening the coffee tap. I find it too slow on an electric stove. You can also pre-heat the water before assembling the unit and pressurizing for another few mins. This...

I've been using this cappuccino maker for five years a few times a week -- when I'm away from my Sylvia.

I use the pre-ground Lavazza or Lilly -- fine grind espresso and it works great. The best results when making either 6 or 9 "servings" but I typically use the 3 servings settings.
