Gaggia Accademia: Fix Door Issues, Leaks, Sensors and Spouts

When it comes to screen issues, it can be pretty tough to diagnose the problem at home. It may be the screen itself that needs to be replaced, but it also may be one of the other screen components, wiring somewhere along the way, or one of the 2 power boards in your machine causing the issue. For that reason, a repair is recommended to resolve this type of issue. That being said, there are some steps to take to try and resolve the problem short of replacing parts.

  1. Check the contrast setting on your machine.
  2. Gaggia Accademia: Machine Menu Settings (04:41)
  3. That same information can be used to try a hard reset (or factory reset) on your machine.
  4. If you cannot see the screen to get to the menu, the steam out will perform the same type of reset.

A hard reset can help resolve little buggy issues in programming. You can run a steam out to perform the same type of reset as the reset in your menu. The steam out is a good option if the screen is too dark to be able to easily navigate or if an error is keeping your screen from changing. Please note that we cannot confirm this will resolve any screen issues you may be experiencing. Below are links to the screen, parts diagram, and service manual snapshots that will help identify screen parts and get the screen and front board disassembled.
