Complete Your Set-Up with the Bodum Shin Cha Teapot

Shincha is the Japanese term for “new tea.” Whether you’re brewing Japanese green tea, African rooibos, English Earl Grey or Chinese silver needle tea, the Bodum Shin Cha Press will not disappoint. Melding a traditional teapot design with the convenience of a modern press-pot system, the Shin Cha makes it easy to prepare your favorite tea. This tea press has a body made of heat-resistant borosilicate glass and a stainless steel strainer.

To use, add loose-leaf tea into the strainer and fill the pot with hot water. Let your tea steep as desired then gently press down on the plunger to stop the brewing process. Your tea will be pushed down below the infusion holes. Unlike other tea presses, there is no need to remove the infuser; once the plunger has been pressed down there is no risk of over-brewing. The Shin Cha Tea Press can also accommodate tea bags. The teapot and stainless-steel press are both dishwasher safe for easy maintenance. This Bodum press has a 34-ounce capacity.
