The matte stainless steel and graphite black finish of the Bunn STX fits into any décor.  You will quickly come to appreciate its sensible and easy to clean and operate design. From its easy fill reservoir to its stainless steel vacuum insulated carafe it just flat out excels in the art of quickly brewing a pot of coffee. The BUNN STX features a patented brewing system that holds water at the correct temperature, creates turbulence in the filter basket to fully extract coffee flavor and brews in 3 to 4 minutes so your coffee is never over-extracted and bitter.

Filter Basket

This where the brewing magic happens! The patented sprayhead design showers water quickly and evenly on all the coffee grounds to ensure that they float and the coffee flavor is extracted from all the coffee equally and completely. This all happens in 3 to 4 minutes so your coffee is never over-extracted and bitter.

Water Tank

The power of the Bunn brewing system starts with ready-to-brew hot water in the stainless steel tank. Water is kept at the ideal brewing temperature of approximately 200°F with an internal thermostat. This means that when you are ready for fresh hot coffee, its on its way.

I am looking for a coffee brewer made without plastic--at least in the places that come into contact with water and coffee.  Is the water tank stainless steel on the inside as well as the exterior?  How about the chamber that heats the water?  I think the one semi-visible place that may be plastic is the interior of the filter basket (and the spout through which it drains into the carafe).  I fear my quest is not over after all!  Many thanks!

Answer by mjackson:

I dont know of any home breweres with all stainless steel everywhere. I dont think there are any at all. They all have plastic water reservoir.

Answer by ARzondzinksa:

Thank you M Jackson.  If I were willing to have the water briefly sit in the reservoir (I never leave water sitting in reservoirs), might any models pass my test?
