Here are 3 iced coffee recipes that will change your coffee-making game this summer.
Coconut Cold Brew
We aren’t holding back on the recipes for you all, we’re jumping into summer with a Coconut Cold Brew Iced Coffee. Sounds refreshing already right? Here’s how to make this delicious iced drink that’ll make you feel like you’re in a Caribbean paradise this summer:
Serving Size: 3 Cups of Cold Brew
Things You’ll Need:
- 1 Quart Mason Jar
- Your favorite pre-ground or whole bean coffee (our favorite for this recipe is the Whole Latte Love Malabar Gold Espresso). If you’re using whole beans and don’t already have a reliable grinder, here’s the one we used for this recipe.
- Coffee filters
- Coconut flavor syrup
- Milk or creamer of your choice
- Ice
- Optional: Coconut shavings and whipped cream
Instructions:
- Dial-in your grinder for a medium grind and begin grinding your coffee beans. This is the best consistency for cold brew because it will produce a rich and smooth cup of coffee.
- Pour ¾ cups of coffee grounds into your mason jar and top it off with cold water until the grinds reach just under the lip of the jar.
- Seal the mason jar tightly and gently shake the jar to ensure all of the grounds are evenly moist.
- Leave the major jar in your fridge for about 15 hours.
- After taking the cold brew out of the fridge, strain it through a coffee filter into another mason jar or container of your choice.
- You can enjoy the cold brew as is or top it off with ice and milk or cream of your choosing.
- Add two pumps of coconut flavored syrup of your choosing and mix!
Optional: For even more fun, try this recipe topped with whipped cream and coconut shavings and you’re good to go!
Caramel & Strawberry Iced Coffee
If you’ve got a major sweet tooth, this recipe might be for you. Here’s how to whip up this sweet drink:
Things You’ll Need:
- We recommend a high-quality drip coffee maker. We love the Jura X8 Platinum Espresso Machine for this recipe! The Jura X8 can make up to 80-ounces of coffee if you’re hosting a get-together with friends and family this summer! Another great and more affordable alternative is the Technivorm Moccamaster KBT741. This is a unique drip-coffee machine handmade in the Netherlands that can brew up to 10 cups of coffee in 6 minutes!
- 8 oz. glass
- Ice
- Medium - coarse coffee grounds
- Caramel and Strawberry Torani Syrup
- Milk or creamer of your choice
- Optional: Whipped Cream, Strawberries, and Caramel Drizzle Sauce
Instructions:
- Add a couple of ice cubes to your glass.
- Add 2 tablespoons of coffee per 8-ounce glass.
- Brew your favorite coffee in the Jura X8—we suggest a good medium roast to avoid diluting your iced coffee.
- Once the coffee is brewed, grab your 8 oz glass and add 1 pump of Caramel and Strawberry syrup.
- Top it off with your freshly brewed iced coffee and give it a good stir. Make sure that the syrups are properly mixed with the iced coffee before moving onto the next step. We don’t want you drinking syrup!
- Add milk or creamer of your choice
Optional: Top this summer drink off with whipped cream, a sliced strawberry on the rim of the glass and caramel drizzle sauce, yum!
