The JURA Impressa F8 TFT (Thin Film Transistor) display makes its first appearance on one of their compact class machines with the Impressa F8 TFT espresso machine. But the F8 boasts more than just a new display; with an even faster Aroma + grinder and your four favorite drinks at your fingertips, whatever your preferences may be, you can have coffee around the clock.
The TFT display can be programmed with four drinks of your choice; espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, just to name a few. The rest can be accessed in the menu with the intuitive rotary switch, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Each drink can be programmed with its own individual settings, allowing you to customize them to suit your exact preferences. In total there are four coffee strength settings (5 - 16g of coffee) and two temperature settings. You can also adjust the total water volume for lighter drinks like long coffees and cafe cremas. When entertaining guests, you can override both your strength and volume settings on a per drink basis, allowing you to make one time adjustments to suit their tastes.

You’ll prepare milk drinks with the integrated steam/hot water spout located to the right of the brew spouts. Water can be dispensed at one of three temperatures for drinks like tea, hot cocoa, and Americanos. For milk drinks simply turn the steam switch to dispense light-as-air milk foam directly into your cup, ideal for creamy cappuccinos and other favorites. Because the frother is connected to the brew spouts you’ll never have to move your cup after brewing. By the way, the spouts on the F8 TFT feature cup illumination in one of two colors (white or amber) and height adjustable for a clearance of 2.6” - 4.4.”

In addition to the new display, a key feature of the F8 TFT is the improved Aroma + grinder. The Aroma + is a revolutionary high speed, nearly silent grinder featured in a number of JURA’s more recent machines. This time around the cutting angle inside of the grinding cone has been further refined and perfected, increasing efficiency significantly. The new Aroma + is now twice as fast and just as quiet. When you have guests who prefer decaf, the machine also features a bypass doser for use of pre-ground coffee without having to empty your hopper.

Getting into more specific details, the machines uses a high performance 15 bar pump and a 1450W thermoblock boiler and brews with JURA's Intelligent Pre-Brew Aroma System (I.P.B.A.S) for maximum flavor and aroma.. The water reservoir holds 64oz while the bean hopper holds 10.9oz of whole bean coffee and features an aroma preservation cover. You’ll be able to brew approximately 15 shots before having to empty the dreg drawer. The TFT display will alert you when maintenance is required and the machine features automatic rinsing programs that keep the machine in top condition, cleaning the brewing and frothing spouts after each use. You can also program the hardness of your water to have the machine calculate a descaling schedule to prevent mineral buildup.
A final note for the energy conscious is that the machine features both a low energy (0 watt) standby mode and the ability to program automatic shut-off to cut power entirely after a specified period of inactivity.

Rinsing and Energy Settings

Maintenance and energy management are made easy with the automatic rinse cycles and standby mode. The machine rinses its spouts after each drink is brewed to prevent the buildup of coffee oils and milk residue. Additionally, the machine will automatically transition into a low energy standby mode after an extended period of inactivity, however, the machine can also be programmed to shut off completely.

Steaming and Hot Water

Utilizing its automatic frothing system, the F8 TFT can produce delicate light-as-air milk foam for cappuccinos and latte macchiatos. The frothing system is integrated into the brewing spouts and is height adjustable between 2.6\" and 4.4". The frothing system is compatible with JURA-Capresso's Cool Control Milk Container and Stainless Steel Thermal Milk Container.

Brewing Features

The F8 TFT brews using a powerful 1450 W thermoblock boiler and high performance 15-bar pump. Make all of your favorite drinks, including espresso, ristretto, caffe crema, and cappuccinos at the push of a button. All drinks feature variable dosing options between 5 and 16 grams of coffee and are brewed with JURA's Intelligent Pre-Brew Aroma System (I.P.B.A.S) for maximum flavor and aroma. Lastly, coffee strength and temperature can be programmed ahead of time, allowing you to craft drinks to your exact specifications, time and time again.

Aroma + Grinder, Bean Hopper, and Bypass Doser

JURA's revolutionary Aroma+ grinder has been perfected on the F8 TFT to be just as quiet and twice as fast as it was before. The bean hopper has a 10.9 oz capacity and the dreg box can hold approximately 15 pucks before being emptied. Additionally, you can brew using pre-ground coffee via the bypass doser.
