Profitec Pro 700 Flow Control Overview

Designed by Profitec in collaboration with Whole Latte Love, the Profitec Pro 700 Flow Control is a response to the growing interest in manual flow profiling among home espresso enthusiasts. Profitec's signature Pro 700 dual boiler espresso machine has been upgraded with a custom flow profiling device and stainless steel mushroom which replaces the traditional mushroom found in E61 groups. The remainder of the machine is untouched, featuring the 2019 Pro 700's updated pressure gauges, steam and hot water knobs, and other subtle branded accents.

Features and Performance

Inside the machine, you’ll find the internal components to be incredibly well-organized, which is an often underappreciated touch that you don’t see in many other machines. Copper coils and water lines trace from one brass fitting to the next. Even the more delicate electronics are shielded from any humidity, neatly tucked away to one side of the machine.

All of this speaks to Profitec’s standards for quality engineering. As they like to say, “We endeavor to bridge the gap between tried and true professional technology and state-of-the-art engineering.”

Why You Should Get It

With the flow control knob, you can adjust the valve in the E61 group, allowing you to Operation is as simple as lifting the lever and watching the automatic shot timer on the PID. The latest upgrade to the PID delivers on best-in-class steam power hissing out at 2 bar. Temperatures are stable to the point of unwavering, opening the door to exquisite shots that we at the office have always enjoyed.

Consider the Profitec Pro 700 if you're an entertainer or a home barista that wants top quality drinks and a machine that will last.

  • Flow Profiling Knob

The custom E61 valve allows for manually profiling of flow, allowing you to perform lengthy pre-infusions and modify the extraction parameters of your shot. Changes in pressure are visible on the new gauge mounted on the front of the group.

  • Dual-Boiler

The independent, insulated stainless-steel boilers provide stable temperatures and allow you to brew and steam at the same time. This is invaluable for everyone who likes making specialty drinks or for entertaining guests.

  • PID Controller

Control steam and brew boiler temperature for searching out those elusive coffee flavors and get the best out of your coffee. The integrated shot timer compliments this by giving you a live readout of how long you’ve been pulling your shot.

  • Spring-Loaded Valves

These knobs have been updated with a smoother slope finish and given a beautiful chrome cap makeover to add to the 700’s flair for aesthetics. They only require a quarter turn to open up the valves, and because they’re spring loaded, you can be sure that these valves are long-lasting and durable.

  • E61 Brew Group

The custom built and specially designed “mushroom” E61 grouphead is one piece, and is constantly heated with water from the thermosyphon system for temperature stability. The group also features a pre-infusion cylinder to aid in the extraction process.

  • Rotary Pump

No need to pause the conversation when brewing. The Pro 700’s rotary pump is as quiet as it gets, so no need to worry about lots of noise when you want some coffee.
