Making it With MaryAnn

My favorite vacation spot is down in the Virgin Islands. I have enjoyed many delicious beverages there; one stood out as a must have back up north in the cold autumn and winter months called Café Caribbean. The Café Caribbean is a warm drink with a unique taste which can be switched up with different coffee roasts.

All you need to make this warm winter delight is:

  • 1 ounce of Rum
  • ½ ounce of Amaretto
  • Your favorite roast coffee and any garnishing you desire.

First you will want to brew a pot of your favorite coffee; I used the Segafredo Zanetti regular drip roast which has a smooth finish.

As the coffee is brewing, pour a shot of rum and ½ shot of amaretto into your mug. Once the coffee is finished brewing, pour it into the mug while it is still fresh and hot.

Your drink is ready now, and you can garnish with any toppings you like. I use whipped cream, caramel and chocolate shavings or sprinkles. Enjoy!
