Bezzera DUO MN Review

Bezzera DUO MN Dual Boiler Espresso Machine

The Bezzera DUO MN is a dual boiler machine that features touch screen navigation, optional plumbed operation, and programmable preinfusion. Its E61 group head and dual PIDs control both brew and steam boiler temperatures, for the ultimate in temperature stability.

A Functional Machine for a Traditional Barista

This machine was made for the traditionalist barista who appreciates being involved in every step of the process from brewing to steam. Bezzera made sure that users have the ability to program and adjust various features through its 3.5” color touchscreen display. Users can adjust the dual PIDs, preinfusion times up to 5 seconds at 0.5-second increments, and receive maintenance alerts when you need to recharge or replace your water filter or when it’s time to descale your machine.

💡QUICK TIP: To avoid having to refill your water reservoir altogether, connect your DUO MN to a plumbed water line. Less time refilling, more time brewing. You’re welcome.

Dual PIDs

Bezzera DUO MN Touch Display and PID

The Bezzera DUO MN features a modern digital PID and boiler pressure touch display.

The dual PIDs? They just might be my favorite aspect of the machine. I love having friends and family over for dinner, especially on weekends. All of my friends and family are coffee-loving New Yorkers, so being able to brew and steam at the same time is a time-saver on my end and a life-saver for my guests. Topped with incredible milk foam produced by the powerful steam wand, lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos have become a staple and the highlight of dinner.

Programmable Brewing Temperatures

If you’re looking for a machine that allows you to program temperatures, the DUO MN has got you covered. Brew temperatures range from 190℉ to 204℉ and steam temperatures range from 212℉ and 266℉. No wait between brewing and steaming is a plus for any espresso connoisseur, you can enjoy your drinks at the temperatures you set on the machine.

Temperature Stability

Bezzera DUO MN E61 Brew Group

The MN version of the DUO features the vaunted E61 brew group.

For even more temperature stability the E61 grouphead is heated via the machine’s thermosiphon system. It circulates water from the brew boiler, through the group head, and back, so your portafilter will remain heated throughout the extraction process and won’t lose heat in your espresso.
