ECM Synchronika Overview

Designed in collaboration between two German brands with the utmost commitment to performance and longevity, the ECM Synchronika AMG Limited Edition dual boiler espresso machine is the epitome of luxury home espresso. Featuring carefully crafted components made from the same materials found in AMG vehicles, this limited edition Synchronika espresso machine is one of a limited run of only 999 produced.

Features and Performance

This limited edition version of the ECM Synchronika includes the following custom elements designed in collaboration with AMG:

  • Brushed stainless steel housing, front and top panels, and drip tray.
  • Carbon fiber portafilter and tamper handles, E61 brew lever, steam and hot water taps.
  • Speedometer inspired brew and steam pressure gauges.
  • Red and white power and steam boiler LEDs.
  • AMG logo placement on the drip tray and side panels.
  • AMG x ECM rear logo badge and custom ECM logo badge w/production #

The PID and safety valve really elevate what you can do with an espresso machine. Expect shots that are exquisite, with 2 bar of steam power at your disposal for a decidedly surprising amount of kick when you want to make a latte or cappuccino.

The Synchronika's Fast Heat Up is a unique heating cycle that overheats the boiler so that it reaches brew temperatures even faster, just 10 minutes after switching it on. After a cooling flush, the super-hot water brings the group head and portafilter to temperature which helps to ensure optimal temperature stability.

Less obvious advantages can be found in the iconic E61 brew group, which ECM has updated with stainless-steel internal components, as well as a single top cap for a cleaner aesthetic that other machines lack. These stainless-steel internals add much greater durability and resistance to calcium build-up for more straightforward maintenance, streamlining the experience of owning an espresso machine overall.

When plumbed in, you can take advantage of longer, low-pressure pre-infusion to bring out the more unique flavor notes in specialty coffee. While this isn't unique to the Synchronika, not many machines can do this.

Why You Should Get It

The ECM Synchronika is an industry best dual-boiler prosumer espresso machine with performance and flexibility that unlock the maximum potential of the home barista. This limited edition version pays tribute to the exquisite design of AMG automobiles with custom design elements and materials like the speedometer inspired pressure gauges and carbon fiber elements. This is your chance to own a piece of AMG and ECM history.

  • AMG Design Elements

Designed in collaboration between AMG and ECM, several elements of the machine have been customized with premium materials and styling to embody the look and feel of an AMG automobile. The housing is a brushed stainless steel and the machine features carbon fiber accenting on the steam and hot water wands as well as the portafilter and tamper handles.

  • Limited Edition Production

Each machine is individually numbered out of the 999 units that were produced and is a piece of AMG and ECM history.

  • Dual-Boiler

The independent, insulated stainless-steel boilers provide stable temperatures and allow you to change your brew temperatures to get the best flavor out of your coffee. You can brew and steam at the same time, as well. This is invaluable for everyone who likes making specialty drinks or for entertaining guests.

    gridimage-3
  • PID Controller

Control boiler temperature for searching out those elusive coffee flavors. The integrated shot timer compliments this by giving you a live readout of how long you’ve been pulling your shot. With the upgraded PID, the Synchronika can reach an industry-leading 2 bar of pressure.

    gridimage-4
  • Direct Water Line Connection

No more refilling the water tank. Be sure to outfit the machine with a water filtration system for better tasting shots and improved machine longevity.

    gridimage-5
  • Fast Heat Up

The Synchronika features Profitec's Fast Heat Up programming, a unique heating cycle. When powering on, if the temperature in the boiler is 104° F or lower, the boiler will begin heating to 266°F and the PID will display "UP." A "FLU" message will display when it's time to flush. On E61 machines like the Synchronika, the flush takes roughly 20 seconds and will have the boiler, group, and portafilter at brew ready temperature in 11 minutes.
