When St. Patrick’s Day rolls around every year, not only do the colors gold and green seem more prevalent, people also begin to believe the luck of the Irish is on their side.

Feeling lucky means something different to each and every person. For us, it means finding a great deal on an espresso machine or discovering the perfect roast in a coffee pot mug at the end of a rainbow.

If you or a like-minded coffee lover close to you are feeling the same way this St. Patrick’s Day, take a look at our gift guide and Irish coffee recipes. Lucky you!

St. Patrick’s Day Gifts

Go For Gold

We are staunch believers in going for gold when looking for an espresso machine and coffee. Why settle for anything less?

That’s why we offer machines like the Bezzera New Hobby and Quick Mill Arnos that offer industry-best features and performance that you won’t believe you ever got by without.

If a more entry-level product and cost-effective price point interests you, we also advise checking out the Nespresso Vertuo and Capresso EC Select 120.05.

You're In Luck!

If you prefer a product that exemplifies the phrase “gold standard” visually as much as technically, we also offer gold accented and paneled machines that are sure to impress at your next gathering.

Machines like the Rocket Espresso Appartamento are available with both rose gold and gold panels that truly set it apart from any other product of its kind.

If a golden grinder piques your interest, Eureka offers a variety of products like the Mignon Magnifico and the Mignon Silenzio 16cr. Both grinders are equal parts visually breathtaking and technically powerful, as is the case with products produced by the experts at Eureka.

Bold in Gold

Green Machines (and More)

Looking to make a statement this St. Patrick’s Day and/or want to add a much-needed splash of color to your at-home coffee set-up?

Add a green colored machine like the Nespresso Essenza Mini in lime green or a mug like the NotNeutral LINO 10 oz in sage green to your set up.

We also recommend looking at accessories like the Coffeevac 1lb Storage Container and the Joe Frex Galaxy Tamper Handle, as they are sure to make your friends and family green with envy.

Go Green

Find Your Good Luck Blend

In theory, the process of trying a new coffee blend is exhilarating.

First, you do the research to select the roast. Then you let the anticipation build as you wait for it to arrive. When it does arrive, you open the bag for the first time and take a large inhale of the intoxicating aroma escaping from it. Next you pour the beans in your hopper, then brew your first cup. You take your first sip, the excitement and anticipation at an all-time high, and… nothing. You know instantly that you don’t enjoy this blend and that you’ll either have to slog through the entire bag or toss it and start the entire process again. That, to us, is rotten luck exemplified.

If this has happened to you, don’t fret. As luck would have it, we’ve compiled a list of coffees bold enough to have gold in their name that are sure to make your taste buds feel like fortune is smiling upon them.

St. Patrick’s Day Recipes

Drink Me, I’m Irish

For many, the best part about St. Patrick’s Day is Irish coffee. What makes it so special are three base ingredients: coffee, whiskey, and Guinness. When concocted correctly, the end result is a delicious delicacy that has become synonymous with the holiday.

We offer two in-house Irish Coffee recipes; one with and one without alcohol.

Recipe Number 1:

  • 1 cup of fresh brewed coffee
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1 ½ ounces of Irish Whiskey
  • 1 ounce of Guinness
  • ½ cup of heavy cream

Recipe Number 2 (non-alcoholic):

  • 1 cup fresh brewed coffee
  • 1 ¾ cups of heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon of almond extract
