If the grinder adjustment knob seems to be stuck in place, please note that you must press down and turn simultaneously, sort of like opening a medicine bottle. If the knob still won’t turn when pressed down, try turning it in the opposite direction as well. This may help loosen up the mechanism and get it moving.

- Press down on the knob firmly while turning to adjust
- Turning the knob in a clockwise direction will make the grind more coarse
- Counter-clockwise will make the grind more fine
- Adjust the grinder as it is running whenever possible
-
One notch at a time is recommended allowing a few brews at each step. This is the best method to use to gauge the change the adjustment is having on your results.
- Any magnet you have handy close enough to that sensor, like a refrigerator magnet, should allow the grinder to operate even if the interior lid is not present.
- If it’s still not moving, do your best to empty out the hopper manually, and then you can go into the tech menu to run the grinder until it is cleared out. If that still doesn’t work, the grinder will need to be taken apart for cleaning and inspection.
