Gaggia Magenta: Steam Wand Flow Issue
If you have flow to your brew or carafe areas, but no flow to the steam wand, there is likely a blockage somewhere along the water pathway. Remove the steam wand tip to ensure a blockage in the wand is not causing the problem.
Using a pin to poke into the tip of the bare wand or soaking the wand and attachments in hot water and some degreasing cleaner can be helpful. Be sure to try purging without the tip attached. Check out these link for any issues with frothing with your steam wand or carafe:

You can check out our article on Pump Test and Ventilation to get into the tech menu and operate the pump and solenoid valve (or electrovalve) manually. If you notice an excessive amount of steam from the right side vents during steaming, cleaning the boiler spout may be helpful before giving the pump test a try. It’s normal to see some steam from either side vent during steaming, but if it seems excessive or is more than previous steaming attempts, the boiler spout may need to be addressed.
