Gaggia Babila: Error Codes E10-E15
Learn what this set of codes means for your machine and what you can do to try and resolve the problem.
An E14 will specifically mean that there is a problem with the brew boiler temperature. E15 refers to the steam boiler. E10 and 11 refer to brew boiler issues as well and 12 and 13 are for the steam boiler. This CAN mean that replacing the thermostat will resolve the issue. Both boilers have 2 thermostats that are all the same part. We recommend replacing both on the brew boiler if you're going to be replacing one:

PLEASE BE ADVISED that is only possibly the problem and resolution. It may also be a power board or wiring issue. For that reason we do generally recommend a repair for any heating, electrical, or thermostat related machine issues.
That being said, should you like to try and resolve the problem at home, replacing the thermostat will be the best course of action. The video for Replacing the Blowdown Valve will show you how to get the machine disassembled to the boiler. The thermostats just unscrew and screw back in, and the wiring can be easily transferred. Generally, you can get enough residual thermal paste off of the thermostats already in your machine to apply to your replacements. Thermal paste is available at most local hardware stores.
