Need to access or replace the power board on a Gaggia Babila? This detailed walkthrough takes you step by step through the process. All of the screws in your machine will be T10 (or Torx-10) fittings.

  • Remove the water tank and internal lid
  • Remove Coffee Aroma Lid from bean hopper
  • Remove internal drip tray, dump box, and brew unit
  • Remove external drip tray, carafe, and coffee dispenser if necessary

  • Remove the screws indicated in first picture
  • Remove the PW cover, loosen the screws indicated in the second picture, and remove the frames

  • Remove top cover making sure to disconnect the wiring from the bottom of the cover as shown.
  • Please note the arrows with dashed lines indicate top cover removal rather than screws in the first two pictures or wires in the third.

  • Once unscrewed, the side and rear panels of the machine (not the front door) should be able to be lifted and moved away from the body of the machine.
  • Side panel removal is not necessary for power board access

The power board is extremely delicate and vulnerable to water and static electricity. Touching components on your power board can compromise the component, or the entire board. A repair is recommended for any electrical, wiring, or power board related issues.

  • Remove the indicated screws
  • Lift power board cover up and away
  • Disconnect all wiring
  • Remove the indicated screws and lift the board out of the machine
