Gaggia Brera: Service Door Issue

The below article will go over what to do if the service door is popping out of place are causing issues or cancelling brews. If the door is not open, but you're getting a message that it is, see our article on Micro-Switches and Sensors.
What to check on your machine:
Check that the parts pictured above are all in tact and not damaged.
Yellow Flag on the brew unit locks into the machine as it is inserted.
The flag hooks into the part pictured to its right. This part is visible when the brew unit is removed from the machine.
The magnet in the machine is NOT visible.
Hold up a piece of ferrous metal (like a paper clip) to the area to test.
Magnet issues are rare, and more disassembly will be required if there is an issue.
Circular piece on door is metal, not a magnet. The magnet in the machine will attract this metal when the service door is closed.
Ensure the machine is on a flat and level surface, and that the drip tray is not hanging off the counter.
This can cause the drip tray to not sit quite right or move during operation.
The drip tray or dump box sitting improperly can cause issues with the service door during operation.
If not parts appear damaged or out of place, deep clean and relubricate the brew unit.
If the brew unit is not moving through positions properly, this can cause errors, or even cause the brew unit to become disconnected in serious cases.
