Learn what to do if you have issues with your screen not working or issues related to the front power board.

Screen and Front Board Issues

If your machine is powering on, but the screen is either not illuminating, or only showing white or red light, but nothing on the screen, it can be that replacing the screen will resolve the issue. You can always try using this video to try and navigate your menu to either adjust the contrast setting or perform a hard reset on your machine. The hard reset can be helpful when it comes to buggy types of errors like screen issues. It’s also pretty easy to do, so it’s always worth a shot as a first step. Alternatively, you can perform the hard reset using the Steam Out Procedure.

If you’re having board issues rather than screen issues, E22 will refer to a “keyboard error” and a machine with a rapidly blinking power button that will not turn on will likely need a replacement front board. With electrical problems, whether it is the board or screen, it's not possible to determine for sure that this particular piece is the problem. For that reason, I typically recommend getting a repair set up. If you'd like to try replacing the front board and screen, here is a video of what that process would look like:

If you’d like to give the front board and screen replacement a try (they come as one part), here is a link you can use to purchase that part. Please note that the front board will be particular for each version of the machine, so be sure to select the correct option. Otherwise, you’ll likely end up with an E22 if the wrong board goes in:
