Espresso Profiles
Choose from multiple profiles for a variety of roasts or fully customize your own unique extraction. Fine tune details like temperature, pre-infusion, pressure and flow and pull the perfect shot.
The Fellow Espresso Series 1 is a truly unique home espresso machine with a three stage heating design that preheats water on its way to the boiler from the reservoir. Performance wise the Espresso Series 1 puts up some major temperature stability and allows you to shift between brewing and steaming automatically. Coupled with robust programming for espresso brew variables and even custom milk frothing, this machine machine invites you to experiment.
The three stage heating or Boosted Boiler as Fellow calls it, is a heating design that passes water through a thermocoil and rapidly heats it before it arrives at the boiler. As a result, extraction temperatures remain incredibly consistent as the boiler is replenished by heated water. Active heating at the brew group by another heating element ensures that energy loss is minimal as the water reaches the portafilter. This also allows the machine to instantly transition to steam production despite having just one boiler.
Brewing on the Series 1 offers robust customization. Pressure, flow rate and temperature can be customized for three stages of extraction, pre-infusion, infusion, and ramp down, allowing you to create the perfect profile for your coffee. There are several premade profiles to select from for common coffee roasts and the ability to create fully customized profiles as well.
For steaming, the Espresso Series 1 has a fully articulated wand with a temperature sensor that can be used to automatically froth milk for you. Not only will the machine stop when your desired temperature is reached, but you can also program unique frothing profiles for various milk types other than dairy.
From a build-quality standpoint, the Espresso Series 1 is housed in ABS plastic with wood accenting available for the Cherry Red and Malted Chocolate colors. Navigation feels very "Fellow" with a clean circular LCD display and a suite of piano buttons and a rotary dial to brew, make programming changes, and access other settings. Beneath the cup tray is storage space for tools while the area under the main body houses room to store the power cord.
If you're new to espresso, or simply looking to get access to precision brewing control without modding, the Espresso Series 1 brings a lot to the table. Coupled with its fast heating, rapid steaming, and precise temperatures, this machine will allow you to explore all aspects of drink crafting in the world of espresso.

With its built-in temperature sensor, the steam wand can be used to froth automatically and auto purges after each use. You can also program custom cycles for different milks, including non-dairy.

Water is heated in three stages for consistency and instant changeover from brewing to steaming. Water is preheated via a thermocoil before reaching the boiler and then again at the brew group.
