We’ve made quite a list of “best-ofs” for our Top 50 Gifts for Coffee and Espresso Lovers guide, but this time, it's personal. If you’ve still got a coffee lover on your list this holiday season, why not check out some of our staff’s personal favorite items from this year!
Katie: Gaggia Magenta Prestige
The Gaggia Magenta Prestige is a sophisticated and powerful espresso machine that produces authentic one-touch milk drinks on the fly with a crisp full color display and easy to navigate menu.
$629.30
Marc: Gaggia Accademia
$1,399.30
Jordan: Profitec GO
“The Profitec GO is a wonderful entry level espresso machine with great features from a high quality brand. I don't have a lot of room in my kitchen but the compact style of the new Go is perfect for my home set up. The simple buttons and sleek design is what drew me in at first but the PID, rapid heating and commercial grade steam wand is what truly made me feel like a barista.’”
Tracy: Fellow Stagg Pour-Over Kettle
$85.00
Erika: Camelbak Horizon Camp Mug
“I love having a travel mug with a handle, it still feels like drinking my morning cup at home. Since it's so well insulated, I find it to be the perfect camping mug. My coffee stays warm, the lid keeps the bugs away, and I don't have to worry about breaking it if I'm out and about.”
$25.20
Nick: Revolution True Tamp
“As our resident accessory enthusiast it's the little things that get me, and this year I was really impressed by the Revolution True Tamp. At $39.95 it should be in anyone's price range, but it does everything a tamper should do. The 58.3mm base fits snugly into baskets and the added depth prevents play while tamping. I also love that base also matches the contour of the handle so the True Tamp is very comfortable to hold. In my opinion it's a nicer tamp than pretty much anything that comes with machines these days, prosumer or otherwise.”
$39.95
Bryan: Eureka Mignon Zero
“Having a long history working in specialty coffee, and being new to the Whole Latte Love family, I was very excited to try out as many products as possible. For the way I make coffee, single-dosing is the only way to go. So I tried several of our single-dosing grinders and eventually landed on the Eureka Mignon Zero. Little details like the vented shutter and clear plastic lid so I can closely monitor the grind, not to mention the very low retention, made this my favorite product of the year.”
Andrew: Crema Wave
“Crema Wave is the perfect 'do-all' coffee, presenting an ideal balance of sweet and nutty characteristics. It makes delicious espresso, creates sweet cappuccinos, adds a delicate flavor to lattes, and even makes great pour-over and press. Not only that, Crema Wave is safe for every class of machine and is extremely forgiving, making it a challenge to pull a bad shot. This roast has become the staple of my home coffee bar.”
