Cranberry White Chocolate Cortado

Cranberry is a quintessential winter holiday flavor. While you may have enjoyed it in breads, cheeses, jams and jellies, today we've got a recipe that balances its tartness with the sweet and nutty flavors of Hollander White Chocolate Café Sauce. This simple cortado riff works very well with a creamier and brighter coffee like our Buzzopolis or Crema Wave Decaf and plays very well with alternate milks like oat if dairy isn't part of your diet.
Our last ingredient comes from Fee Brothers, a local company here in Rochester, NY who produce various cocktail ingredients, including the cranberry bitters that we are featuring in this recipe. We prefer the use of bitters as they can be used to add intense flavor without increasing drink volume or sweetness.

Ingredients
- Approx. 1 - 1 ¼ fl oz (30-36 ml) espresso (Whole Latte Love Buzzopolis)
- 3fl oz (~120 ml) whole milk
- Hollander Café Sauce White Chocolate - 0.5 fl oz / 15 ml
- 2-3 dashes cranberry bitters

- Steaming pitcher

Step-by-Step Instructions
Pull Your Shot

Add your white chocolate sauce to the base of your cortado or similarly sized cup. Then, prep and pull your espresso.

Once your shot is done pulling, add your bitters and stir to fully incorporate.
Steam Your Milk

Steam your milk to a texture suitable for a latte, adding roughly 1/3 volume with steam. Because this recipe uses less milk, use a smaller steaming pitcher or distill your milk between two pitchers for best results.
Pour Your Milk and Garnish

After steaming your milk, pour and enjoy. You can also express the zest of an orange over your finished drink to complement the flavors of the cranberry and chocolate.
