The steam out procedure will reset all of the algorithms and parameters as well as drain the boilers. Some examples of times this can be helpful are:
- When preparing the machine for shipping
- When preparing the machine for long term storage
- After replacing or deep cleaning the grinder
- Minor electrical or programming malfunctions
Tech Menu and Steam Out Procedure
**Please note that after the reset, the machine may take a little time to recalibrate. You may continue to see weak shots or sloppy pucks for the first few shots. The machine has a built-in algorithm that makes micro adjustments over time, so it will return to proper calibration on its own.**

The Initial Page simply displays machine information. No actions to be performed on this page. Button 3 will advance to the next menu page and button 2 will go to the previous page.
The Brew Unit Page will allow you to manipulate the brew unit gear inside the machine. Brew unit, drip tray, and dump box all need to be present (or the sensors need to be tricked) to manipulate the brew unit motor. In addition to those 3 sensors, the carafe and hot water spout sensor can be checked on this page as well. White box means the part is in place and the sensor is working. Black box with white text means either the part is out of place OR the sensor is not working properly.

The Hydraulic Circuit Page will allow you to manipulate the boiler, pump, and solenoid valve inside the machine. P/S will refer to your flow rate from the flow meter in pulses per second. The sensor for the water reservoir is indicated by "TANK." If water dispenses anywhere (even directly to the drip tray) but the L/H number stays at 0, there is a problem with your flow meter. See Pump Test article for more information.
