Learn what common error codes mean on the Gaggia Anima and Magenta, as well as potential fixes to resolve error code messages. Some screen prompts aren't errors at all, your machine might just need an assist.

Insert the brew group back into place. Make sure it clicks in and cannot be removed again without first pushing the "PUSH" lever. | |

The Mavea Intenza Water Filter needs to be replaced. This is based on the filter being activated in your machine's main menu and your water hardness setting. | |
The machine is waiting to start the water circuit priming process. Ensure you have the Hot Water Dispensing Spout is inserted for the Anima or Magenta Prestige. Otherwise, water will dispense from the steam wand once the AROMA STRENGTH button is pressed for the Anima. Press screen firmly to cofirm check mark for the Magenta. | |
Anytime the check mark is seen on the screen, press the corresponding button or screen area with the check mark to confirm and proceed. | |
The machine is heating up. Freezing at this point (as opposed to an error message) may mean a Flow Issue. | |
The machine is rinsing. | |
Brew group rebooting. No action needed unless screen is red or arrows are present by brew unit icon. |
