Gaggia Anima: Manual Priming

If your new Gaggia Anima or Gaggia Magenta will not prime on first startup, the pump may be “dry locked” and unable to pull water into the circuit. This guide walks you through force-priming the water inlet to break the dry lock, temporarily bypassing the water tank sensor so the machine will run its “ventilate/prime” routine, and what to do if the machine shows a no-flow error (such as a red wrench screen with an “E5”) during repeated priming attempts.
