If you have a new machine or one that hasn't been used in a while, you may run into the issue where you hear your pump running, but no water is being drawn. In these situations, you may need to force prime your pump to break the dry lock. The video below will walk you through how to force prime a brand new pump, or one that hasn't been used in a while.
How to Force Prime:
It takes a few tries sometimes, so stick with it if you need to go with the force priming option. A tool like the one Ted uses is great. If you don't happen to have one of those around, a turkey baster, or even a plastic water bottle will work just fine. You can always try the Initial Setup information to prime your machine before force priming. This information is in your user manual as well.
