Are you getting flow from the brew head without the portafilter attached? You want to see 6 oz of water in about 20 seconds. If it takes longer than that, it may be a clog in the group head components. That  grouphead gasket is responsible for building that pressure in the basket. We recommend changing the stock gasket annually, but if you go with the silicone version you may get like 2-3 years out of it before it needs to be replaced.
