Gaggia Classic and Classic Pro and Evo: Replacing the Steam Valve

There are a few different reasons you may want or need to remove the steam valve from your Gaggia Classic or Classic Pro. It could be that you want to remove the boiler for cleaning or maybe the steam valve is leaking. Here is a steam valve leak test you can do: Steam Valve Leak Test

Removing the steam valve is straightforward enough that you can probably do it at home. The video below will walk you through the process from start to finish. We also suggest consulting the Gaggia Classic and Classic Pro parts diagram attached to this article.

Note: If you remove or replace the steam valve, you may need a new "O" ring when you reinstall it.
