Learn what to do if DEMO MODE has been toggled in error on your machine. It should just be a matter of unplugging the machine for a minute, and restarting the machine. Holding the front power button for more than 8 seconds will toggle the DEMO MODE if applicable.
What to know about the DEMO MODE on your machine:
-
As the manual states, the DEMO MODE is entered by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the machine for 8 seconds or longer.
- The best thing to do is release the button as soon as the screen flashes, or as soon as you hear noise from the machine starting to avoid accidental demo mode entry.
- If the machine does not power off for long enough, it may not exit demo mode. Be sure to unplug the machine and allow it to rest for a minute or two to ensure demo mode will exit. Ensure power switch on the back is ON before pressing front power.
- If DEMO MODE is still displayed, a hard reset may restore the machine to normal operational mode.
- See our article on the Tech Menu and Steam Out Procedure
- Please note that after the reset, the machine may take a little time to recalibrate. You may continue to see weak shots or sloppy pucks for the first few shots. The machine has a built-in algorithm that makes micro adjustments over time, so it will return to proper calibration on its own.
- A problem with your power button could be why the machine is entering DEMO MODE.
- If the button is stuck, or the keypad is damaged, the machine may enter demo mode for this reason.
- See our article on Screen Issues for a video on removing the front display for cleaning or replacement.
- Dust or debris in the buttons panel can potentially cause problems. A keyboard or electronic cleaner (canned condensed air) is a good place to start. Disassembly for cleaning or cleaning solvents can potentially cause more electrical issues. Proceed with caution to avoid further damage.
