Learn how to perform a pump test, how to diagnose flow issues, and what to do when getting poor flow and/or pressure from the Babila.

Gaggia Babila: Pump Test and Ventilation

For pump testing purposes, check out your p/s reading on page 2/2 as the pump runs and give the different EV settings on page 1/2 a try. If you have water dispensing somewhere (even if it’s just filling up the internal drip tray) but a reading of zero, you have a flow meter issue. To ventilate and improve flow rather than testing, set water to dispense from your steam wand until you get a steady flow. The pump test can also be used to manually descale the machine if you're having trouble with the automated process.
